Infamous for its bustling nightlife
Walking Street is Pattaya’s party and entertainment center. Known the world over for its bustling nightlife, the place is packed with hundreds of go-go bars, beer bars, night clubs and ladyboy bars.
Walking Street and side sois
The nightlife area stretches out on almost one kilometer on Walking Street and its small side sois.
Walking Street comes alive at night. After 10 pm the place gets really busy with loud music and sexy promo girls everywhere. Walking through the street you will be stopped many times by staff of beer bars, go go bars and massage shops offering their products.
A noisy, neon jungle famous for its intense nightlife, Pattaya Walking Street is an amazing experience.
Infamous party destination
Pattaya Walking Street is one of the world’s most infamous party destinations. It is known as one of the biggest red light areas in the world as well as a place to party in nightclubs and bars.

Couples & families
Although not the most obvious place for couples and families, Walking Street is a fun experience for everyone looking for a fun night out eating, drinking and people watching.
Scantily dressed girls
Girls wearing sexy uniforms stand in front of go-go bars and nightclubs trying to lure in passers by. Often they will hold up signs advertising the price of the cheapest beers.
Night clubs
If partying is your thing, head over to one of Walking Street’s nightclubs. Equipped with professional sound and light systems, DJ’s play mostly rap, hip hop, trance, house, R&B and EDM music.
Among the most famous nightclubs on Walking Street are Mixx Discotheque, The Pier Disco Club, Lucifer Disco TK, Candy Shop, Marine Disco and Club Insomnia.
Go-Go bars
With about 70 go-go bars on Walking Street, there is plenty of choice if you want to go to one.
Outside the bar scantily dressed promo ladies try to lure in customers. The bars have curtains in the doorways, so you cannot see the girls working inside from the street. Inside the girls dance on the stage to loud music and talk with customers. Some go-go bars have shows like pole dancing.
Among the most popular go-go bars on Walking Street are Airport Club, Alcatraz A Go Go, Baccara A Go Go, Crazy House A Go Go, Galaxy Cabaret, Happy A Go Go, The Iron Club, Lighthouse A Go Go and Moulin Rouge.
Russian gentlemen’s clubs that employ Russian girls often charge higher prices.

Beer & music bars
If you just want to relax with a beer go to one of the countless beer bars, some of which have live music.
Girls standing on the street try to bring in the customers. Soon after you sit down one of the girls working in the bar will join you. Play a game like Connect 4 and buy her a drink, from which she makes commission. About halfway Walking Street is Simon Beer Bar complex that has about 20 beer bars.
If you like live rock music go to Rock Street, the Stone House or the Hot Tuna bar.
Ladyboy bars
There are quite a few trans genders in Pattaya, known as kathoey in Thai. Some of them are so beautiful and feminine, it can be hard to believe they were born males. There are several ladyboy bars in Walking Street, one of them is Kathoey’s R Us.
A fun experience is to watch a ladyboy cabaret show at Alcazar Show, Colosseum Show or Tiffany’s Show.
Restaurants
There is plenty to eat in Walking Street. Along the street are dozens of restaurants, most of them at the start of Walking Street at he Beach Road end. Many serve seafood, although there are plenty of options for everyone’s taste like Thai, Italian, Indian, French, Russian or fast food like McDonald’s.
Making your way through Walking Street, you will also see lots of vendors offering street food like kebab or fried chicken.
Among the restaurants on Walking Street are Anytime Café Pattaya, Food Fair Seafood restaurant, L’Italiano Italian Restaurant & Pub, Lobster Pot, Mehfil Indian Mujra Restaurant & Bar, Rasputin Restaurant and Right Spot Seafood & Steak House.
Hotels & guest houses
In and around Walking Street are plenty of mostly simple hotels and guest houses with rooms at low rates. Budget hotels as P72 Hotel, P.N. Inn and the Walking Street Guest house are all right in the heart of the action near Lucifer disco club.
Where is Walking Street
Walking Street is located in South Pattaya between Beach Road and Bali Hai Pier. The nightlife spans out over a length of almost one kilometer of Walking Street, as well as on many of its small side sois.
How to get there
Get there by taxi or chartered songthaew.
Best time to visit
Apart from the shops, there is not much going on during the daytime. Most of the action starts around 8 pm, it gets really busy after 10 pm.
Walking Street is closed to traffic between 7 pm and 3 am.
