Experienced guides
Tours are done in small groups of no more than twelve people plus an experienced local English speaking guide.

Relaxed pace
Distances vary between 25 to 45 kilometers on mostly flat terrain. The pace is relaxed with regular stops. Drinking water and tasty home made snacks such as rice cookies and banana chips are supplied by the tour company.

Don’t forget to bring sun block and a hat.

You can either cycle the Sukhothai Historical Park or the countryside.

Choose the historical park tour to see the highlights of the historical park or a countryside tour to see the local way of life and experience the culture and traditions of the area.

Sukhothai Historical Park Tours

Cycling is an excellent way to see the Sukhothai Historical Park as the park is too large to walk. This tour takes you to some of the main sites of the historical park.

Both half day and full day tours are available.

Visit the main temples
The day starts with a bike ride from Ban Kluai village through rice paddies and local villages.

Once inside the park, you will get to visit some of the most important temples in the historical park like the Wat Mahathat, a very large temple complex with structures in several architectural styles.

Sukhothai style
The Sukhothai Kingdom developed its own style of temple architecture and arts. On the tour you will see examples of the Sukhothai style like the lotus bud chedi, the elephant encircled chedi and gracious walking Buddha images.

The guide will explain about the architecture as well as the historical and religious background of the various ancient temples.

Sukhothai Countryside Tours

The countryside tours are for those interested in life in rural Sukhothai, its local culture and traditions. Most of the cycling is done on quiet backroads and dirt roads. During the day the guide will give you insight into the local way of life, culture, traditions and religion.

Sukhothai Bicycle Tour uses 24 gear mountain bikes that are in good condition. There are bikes for people of different heights including young children; frames range from 12 to 21 inches. Helmets are provided.
