Himmapan Show
A fun night out for young and old, the Himmapan Avatar show is a multi-dimensional fantasy live show with a mystic ambiance. The show tells the story about the battle between good and evil in Himmapan, a legendary forest inhabited by mythological animals.
The audience can walk through a pathway leading up to the stage creating a multi dimensional experience.
Special effects & acrobatics
The use of special effects, stage stunts and acrobatics as well as the colorful and beautiful costumes and stage designs make the 75-minute Himmapan Avatar show an entertaining one. The theater is equipped with an advanced lighting, color and sound system.
Realistic multi-dimensional audiovisual experience
The show uses 3D mapping, a technique to create optical illusions and add dimensions to objects, creating a realistic multi-dimensional audiovisual experience.
A spectacular walk through experience with may special effects, the show is fun to watch for both adults and children.
Before the show
Before the start of the show you will have a chance to get to know the mythological creatures that live in the Himmapan forest. Glass display cases in the foyer each contain one of the creatures that live in the legendary forest. The label provides information about the characteristics of each creature.
Next to the stairs leading up to the theater stands an enormous Karin Puksa, a flying elephant with red wings.
The Himmapan forest
The Himmapan Avatar story is set in the Himmapan forest. In Hindu mythology, Himmapan is the forest that surrounds the base of Mount Meru, the center of the universe. In the forest there are thousands of peaks and seven large ponds, one of which is the Anodard pond where the story takes place.
Mythological animals of Himmapan
The forest is inhabited by a great number of mythological creatures, many of which have the features of two or more animals such as an elephant with wings or a horse with a bird’s head.
Some of these creatures can be seen at Thai temples, such as the Naga serpent and the Kinnaree.
Himmapan Avatar story
The story is set in the Himmapan forest, a beautiful and magical land. Above a high waterfall at the Anodard pond is hidden the Manee Rattana, a precious stone that gives protection from all demons and allows all creatures to live in peace with each other.
The story tells about the battle between the demons fighting for possession of the Manee Rattana and Acksorn Paksri, the protector of the precious stone.
The God of Darkness
The God of Darkness who uses a large black bird as his vehicle has invaded Himmapan and turned it into a place of unhappiness.
The Manee Rattana prophecy
A prophecy predicts that one day Himmapan will be free again and all its creatures can live happily and free. According to the prophecy the Manee Rattana gem will rise above the Anodard pond. Whoever can take possession of it will defeat the God of Darkness and liberate the Himmapan forest.
Fighting for possession of the gem
The God of the Sun, a fiery creature riding a lion and the God of the Moon riding a white horse helped by Angel and Monkey Bird fight Lady of Fire and the Devil Bird, the followers of the God of Darkness for possession of the Manee Rattana.
Mythological creatures
Other mythological creatures playing a role in the story include Karin Puksa, a large flying elephant with red wings and the tail of a bird, Hammara Ussadorn with the body of a horse and the head of a bird, elfs that protect the forest, and Ghilen, a creature with the head of a dragon, the body of a deer, tail of an ox and hooves of a horse.

Show times
The 75-minute show can be seen daily except Tuesday. Shows are in English or Thai language.
Show times are:
Monday to Friday (English) at 7:30 pm.
Saturday (Thai) at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm (English).
Sunday and public holidays at 2:30 pm (Thai) and 7:30 pm (English).
Entrance fees
Ticket prices at the Himmapan Theatre are:
Children under 4 years old or under 90 centimeters tall enter free if they share a seat with one of their parents.
