Mahanakhon Skywalk is one of Bangkok’s latest and most exciting attractions. At a height of 314 meters the observation deck is the highest in Bangkok with 360 degree views of the city and great photo opportunities of Bangkok’s skyline and its many impressive skyscrapers.

The King Power Mahanakhon building in Bangkok’s business district Silom is the highest building in Thailand. The towering structure built in a modern architectural style opened in December 2016. It has both an indoor and an outdoor observation area.

In 50 seconds to the 74th floor

From the Mahanakhon lobby on the first floor walk to the elevator through a corridor with digital walls. The video themed elevator is the fastest in Thailand. It will take you up to the 74th floor in just 50 seconds. The elevator walls are covered with digital screens showing landmarks in Bangkok.

Indoor observation deck

The King Power Mahanakhon Skywalk on the 74th and 75th floors is an indoor observatory. It provides 360 degree views of the Bangkok skyline with its modern skyscrapers, old temples and the Chao Phraya river.

Augmented reality App

Use the Mahanakhon augmented reality app to identify landmarks across Bangkok. Download the app on your phone on the observation deck on the 74th floor. Look at the Bangkok skyline on your phone and tab on one of the orange pointers that identify a landmark. The app will show you what landmark you are looking at and give you some information about it.

Skywalk rooftop on the 78th floor

A hydraulic glass lift will take you from the 75th floor to the outdoor observation deck on the 78th floor at 310 meters above ground. Walk on a glass floor called the Glass Tray or climb the stairs to The Peak, the highest point in Bangkok.

Walk the Glass Tray at 310 meters

Highlight of the Mahanakhon Skywalk is the Glass Tray. It is a unique and scary experience to walk on a glass floor 310 meters above the ground and see the skyscrapers below. You will get a disposable shoe cover to walk on the glass.

The Peak at 314 meters high

The highest point in Bangkok is The Peak at 314 meters above ground. Take the steps from the Skywalk rooftop and enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of the city.

At night the thrill experience of walking the Sky Walk glass floor is equally thrilling as during the day. The city views are stunning, when the nighttime turns Bangkok into a sea of lights.

You will find the King Power Mahanakhon building at 114 Narathiwas road in Silom.

How to get there

The easiest way to get there is by BTS Sky Train. Take a train on the Silom line and exit at station Chong Nonsi. Take exit 3 for a very short walk to the building.

If you’re not near a BTS station, take a metered taxi or a tuk tuk.

Opening hours

The Mahanakhon Skywalk opens every day from 10 am until 12 midnight. Last admission is at 11 pm. The outside observation area on the 78th floor will be closed when conditions are unsafe due to weather conditions as storms or heavy rainfall.
