Vertical Dinner Cruise
An evening cruise on the Chao Phraya river is the most relaxed way to see some of Bangkok’s most iconic sites. Sample Thai and international cuisine while enjoying the charm and beauty of the river scenery.
On this dinner cruise you will see famous historic sites as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, as well as modern architecture as the impressive Rama VIII bridge and luxury high rise hotels. Enjoy dinner with night time views of Bangkok’s skyline on a romantic cruise on the Chao Phraya, the “River of Kings”.
Relaxed evening atmosphere
Far from the hectic pace of the city, the evening atmosphere on the river is relaxed. On the two hour cruise, the Vertical Cruise ship floats by the “City of Angels” by night at a leisurely pace.
Live music and classical Thai puppet theater
The buffet with Thai, Western, Japanese and seafood and a wide range of delicious desserts is accompanied by live music and a performance of classical Thai puppet theater.
Departing from Asiatique The Riverfront, the cruise heads up the river all the way to Rama VIII bridge before returning to Asiatique.
Three decks
The Vertical Cruise ship seats diners on three decks. The two lower decks are air conditioned. Large windows provide good views of the river scenery. The open air deck with 360 degree panoramic views provides a chance to feel the river breeze and get the best views.
Buffet
The buffet dinner has plenty of choice for everyone’s taste. Diners can sample dishes from a wide selection of Thai, Western, Japanese and seafood.
Starters
For starters, there are various appetizers, a salad bar and soup like mushroom cream soup and the famous Tom Yum Goong, a hot and sour soup with many spices and shrimps.
Main course
For main dishes there is a choice of fried rice, pork ribs, fried chicken, spaghetti, Pad Thai, fried fish, fresh vegetables, sashimi, Gaeng Keow Wan, Tom Kha Gai, grilled chicken, river prawn with lime juice and more.
Desserts
After the main course, diners can sample from a good variety of delicious Thai sweets and snacks, international desserts and fresh seasonal fruits.
Route & landmarks
During the two-hour river cruise, you will get so see some of Bangkok’s most famous historic landmarks as well as impressive modern high-rise architecture.
The cruise starts at Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping, dining and entertainment complex. Heading North, the Vertical Cruise ship floats past modern luxury hotels as the Shangri-La, the Mandarin Oriental and the Millennium Hilton.
Colonial style Yodpiman River Walk
After the adjoining Memorial bridge and Phra Pin-klao bridge, you will see the yellow colonial style architecture of the Yodpiman River Walk, a riverside shopping center. On the other side of the river stands Wat Kalayanamit temple.
17th Century fort
At the mouth of Bangkok Yai canal the white walls of Wichai Prasit Fort come into sight, a fort built in the 17th century to prevent ships from sailing up the river North to the old capital of Siam.
Wat Arun & historic district
Next to it stands the beautifully lit Wat Arun, one of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks. Across the river is Rattanakosin, the old city established in the 18th century with the Grand Palace and the Wat Pho, the Reclining Buddha temple.
The ship turns around at Rama VIII bridge. Arriving back at the pier the illuminated 60 meter tall Ferris wheel at Asiatique dominates the area.
Departure pier and time
The Vertical Cruise ship departs from the Asiatique pier at Asiatique The Riverfront on Charoen Krung road. To get there, either use a metered taxi or a combination of BTS Sky Train and river boat.

Check in is at the Vertical Cruise check in counter on the river boardwalk opposite warehouse 9. The itinerary is:
- 6:30 pm Check in counters open
- 7:30 pm Departure of the cruise, open buffet
- 9:30 pm Arrive back at Asiatique pier
